WP4000: Platforms

This Workpackage has not yet been started

Expected results and achievements

The overall objective of Work package 4000 is to develop the individual vehicle sub-systems, and to integrate them into the respective vehicle platforms. It also includes the functional testing of the subsystems and the overall vehicle platforms. Extensive driving simulations will accompany the work.

Subsystems: The subsystems will be integrated into the higher level hierarchy of the vehicle platforms to achieve an optimal vehicle unit performance.

Heavy goods vehicles: One HGV will be built up including an extended x-by-wire powertrain.

Another HGV will be set-up for advanced testing within a HIL environment using the same SPARC systems as the validator HGV.

Trailers: A full trailer will show fully electronic x-by-wire brake system using electro-mechanical Brake actuators.

One semi-trailer will be build including a new trailer concept showing x-by-wire components applications.

Small passenger cars: To validate the scalability of the SPARC concept of SW/HW partitioning within centralised redundant architectures, one small passenger car will be built up. For verification purposes another sPC will be set-up for advanced testing within a HIL environment.

Driving simulations: Finally, a 6D movable platform, working in combination with the sPC-HIL and the HGV-HIL will be build for realistic novel HMI-driver-tests including novel HMI and several assistant functionalities.
