Manufacture Francaise des Pneumatiques Michelin is the french subsidiary of Group Michelin. Michelin Group is the leading global tyres, wheels and travel tools company and pioneer in the field with sales and marketing operations in 170 countries, 82 factories and a workforce of over 120,000 employees world-wide.

As part of this project Michelin will deliver solutions to assess and predict the maximum friction available in the contact patch during truck operation. This solutions will capitalise on patented Michelin knowledge. The rationale will be to use the tire and its behaviour as a friction sensor during braking, part of the provided solutions will be algorithms to predict maximum friction.
